Major Moscow's Assaults Cut Electricity Throughout Kyiv

Energy infrastructure under attack in Ukraine
Ukraine's power facilities have come under escalating attacks in recent weeks

Throughout the evening, Russian aerial assaults have led to electricity outages in multiple districts of the capital city, Kyiv.

Nine people were wounded while local people in eastern neighborhoods were plunged into darkness and faced interruptions to water supplies, according to local authorities.

Simultaneously, a seven-year-old child was lost their life in a different aerial attack in the southeastern region in the country's south-east, as reported by local officials.

Authorities reported that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and over thirty projectiles attacked energy facilities, describing such attacks as "strategic and deliberate" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as winter approaches.

Energy officials said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and maintenance teams were working to repair systems.

A wave of strikes struck power facilities and civilian homes in Kyiv.

Multiple people injured in the strikes on the city have been taken to hospital, according to municipal representatives.
