I'll dominate 'credible fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for next month's boxing match.

Former twice world boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK rival Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

However, the novice remains one of boxing's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters engaged in the usual stare-down, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really proceeding.
